Life is full of small blessings we often overlook, even though they make our days easier, brighter, or just a little bit better. This week, I challenge you to pause and take a closer look at the things around you.
Your GratiTuesday exercise is simple:
Find three things near you that make your life easier or happier.
Reflect on why they’re meaningful to you.
Share your discoverings! Snap a photo or write a quick description in the comments.
Here’s the fun part: Gratitude is contagious. When you share your discoveries, you’re not just engaging with the challenge—you’re also sparking inspiration for someone else.
These are my three things, by the way:
An elevation pillow for my ankle. I’ve been in bed recovering from ankle surgery. Let me tell you—this pillow is a livesaver.
Daphne. The youngest of my two cats. She’s been by my side throughout the entire recovery process. Of course, she did destroy one of my ice packs in the process, but I’ll let that slide.
Uhm, a small tool for convenience. This one’s a bit personal. Let’s just say it’s made recovery much easier, especially since getting back and forth to the bathroom isn’t exactly simple. My wife insisted on this small (and admittedly, slightly gross) item. She was absolutely right though—it’s been surprisingly helpful. And oddly, beyond the convenience, it has become an unexpected symbol of love and support beyond the pale.
So, what are your three things? I can’t wait to hear about them!
Here’s to finding joy in the everyday.
